.:. Sjaany Stoove

Sjaany has joined the Committee to play an active role in community building and information sharing with fellow students and seekers. She is looking forward to meeting you all as she continues Holistic Counselling, Transpersonal Art Therapy, and Professional Development, with the Phoenix and AAHTC communities in 2009.

Consciousness movements throughout world history fascinate Sjaan, and for many years now she has been intrigued with the unique calling that counsellors have in disenchanted secular societies.

She understands that holistic and psychospiritual perspectives aim to bring back to every day experience the integral foundation of deep meaning which comes with being connected to the source of life - while the client centred approach seeks to restore integrity, power and growth by nurturing the individual spirit.

For Sjaany, counselling is about participating in relationships with self, others, community, knowledge, wisdom, nature, the numinous, and the cosmos, and discovering how to witness and honour psyche in a way that chimes and resonates.

Sjaany studied her B.A. in Arts, Communications and Critical Enquiry at La Trobe Uni, where she researched a wide range of subjects and theoretical perspectives, including Jungian Cultural Psychology, World Literatures, Identity Studies, and Semiotics.
